We were watching "Shark Week" shows last night when a commercial for a car dealer came on. The owner of the dealership was the spokesperson and he was talking about how at his dealership they take customer service "to a whole new level."
If I hear someone use that ridiculous, tired phrase one more time....
What exactly are you taking about when you say that? No...everyone doesn't automatically understand what you're saying. Nor do they get it when you use other worn out phrases or buzzwords.
I think one reason companies struggle to attract more customers / leads and better customers / leads is because they don't clearly speak to a clear target market.
I don't want to hear tired phrases and useless buzzwords in your marketing and advertising. I want to hear exactly why you're different and the fact that you've been in business for 20, 40, or 50 years doesn't tell me why you're different. It just means you've managed to survive. That's an accounting issue not a customer service issue.
If you're frustrated at who you're attracting, then look at the images and words you're using to communicate your message. What messages are you sending and who are you sending them to? After all, you're attracting these people. If you don't want to do business with them, then start actively working to attract you're ideal client.
When you do, i'll bet you take your business to a whole new level : - )
