Say thanks to our troops.

As you get ready to head into the holiday season (trust me, it'll be here before you know it), don't forget to say thanks to the men and women of our armed services. 

Here's a great link from Xerox that lets you customize a thank you which they'll deliver it to a soldier for you.

Keep on the lookout for collections in your community so you can contribute to gifts for the troops.  Consider starting your own collection at work and coordinating with an organization who was planning on shipping things to various points overseas.

Springfield Vermont to host Simpsons Premiere

D'OH! I must have been under a rock or something...I didn't even know they were doing a Simpsons movie let alone having a contest to decide where to hold the premiere. 

This type of thing is a great way to add to the buzz for any type of launch.  It raises the fun element; gets people involved and talking about you; and it's a great way to generate free publicity. 

What type of contest could you hold that would engage people and have you reaping many benefits?

Something to make you feel old...

My favorite newspaper has a fun feature on their site with different lists of 25 things in honor of their 25th anniversary in September.

Today's list is 25 things that are (mostly) gone.  Reading it will make you feel old (as if you needed anything else to add to that). 

What's really sad is I remember when USAToday wasn't around.
